Learning in Technicolor by Lyn Hilt
Lyn Hilt is a instructional education coach for school district in Philadelphia. Before that she has been a teacher and principal. Needless to say she now a the education field quite well. While perusing her blog I stumbled upon a post titled Professional Development from her blog about how inspired she was by teaching teachers how to become Google certified educators. While reading this I was inspired that she was inspired by these teachers. Lyn Hilt in her post talks about the perseverance and the dedication that these teachers have to become google educators. But what I really thought was something she said about the teachers she was instructing "They’re owning their learning. They’re tinkering. They’re creating." To me this should be a motto for teachers. That we shouldn't be afraid to try new methods of teaching, we should be excited to learn at teacher work days, and we should be creating an environment for our students to grow in. And all of that can be accomplished by trying to incorporate technology into the classroom!
